"To the Thawing Wind"

Well last Friday it was 72 degrees here in Kansas today my kids have a snow day cause well you can't see anything.   We live across from a sonic there is a large field in between but you can normally see it from our house, today just whiteness.  Gotta love that KS weather.   I hope no matter where you live and if you are experiencing this storm that you are safe.  Take your time getting to places and if you don't have to drive anywhere, then don't.    If that wasn't bad enough,  I went downstairs to our unfinished part of our basement to find some scrapbooking materials only to find that it is snowing in our house!! I had to quickly move all boxes and stuff I didn't want to get wet away from the window and wall area.
Well Hope everyone is staying dry both indoors and out.

To the Thawing Wind

by Robert Frost

Come with rain, O loud Southwester! Bring the singer, bring the nester; Give the buried flower a dream; Make the settled snow-bank steam; Find the brown beneath the white; But whate'er you do to-night, Bathe my window, make it flow, Melt it as the ice will go; Melt the glass and leave the sticks Like a hermit's crucifix; Burst into my narrow stall; Swing the picture on the wall; Run the rattling pages o'er; Scatter poems on the floor; Turn the poet out of door.
